Frequently asked questions
The rota
How do I put the rota on the wall?
Choose Print under Rota. Ploeg prints only the rota, in landscape, with your business name and the week above it. Choose Save as PDF to email it.
How does my staff see the rota on their phone?
Make a link to the week under Rota and post it in the group chat. The week sits in the link itself. Whoever has the link sees the names and hours, so only share it with your team. Each person can also put their shifts in their own calendar with the ics file.
Can I add a shift past midnight?
Yes. Type for example 22:00 to 6:00: Ploeg counts eight hours and puts the shift in the calendar until the next morning.
Every week is about the same. Do I have to enter it all again?
No. Save a week as a fixed week and put it on another week in one click, or copy last week. Then you only change what is different.
The rules
Does Ploeg check whether my rota is legal?
No. Ploeg shows the hours next to the contract and the public holidays, but it does not check legal limits or your work rules. Ask your social secretariat what applies to your sector.
Does the leave balance match what my employee is entitled to?
The balance is your own count: the leave per year you entered, minus approved holiday. What someone is entitled to by law is worked out by your social secretariat or the holiday fund.
Which public holidays are on the rota?
The ten legal public holidays with a red dot, and the community holidays and a few customary days off without a dot. The latter are only days off if your sector or your contract says so.
About Ploeg
Where is my data?
Only in the browser on this device. If you clear your browser or lose your device, everything is gone: so make a backup under Keep now and then.
Can I use Ploeg on two devices?
Not together yet. You can make a backup on one device and restore it on the other. Syncing is coming soon with Bureel Plus.
What does Ploeg cost?
The core is free, for good. Bureel Plus adds the overview for the social secretariat; the prices are at Bureel.

Ploeg explains the broad lines; it gives no legal advice. What applies to your business depends on your work rules, your sector and the contracts: ask your social secretariat.
